- My first year of traveling hockey was as a back-up goalie. A bad
one. I would put the leg pads on backwards, and I didn’t have enough
patience to stay in the net so whenever the puck carrier approached the
net, I dove at his feet. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t.

- While playing Juniors in Nebraska. Garth Brooks came to our arena
and put on a show. The day before he came by the locker room and wanted
to skate, but did not have a pair of skates. Make a long story short he
used mine and we all went to his concert for free!
